Aston Martin DB9 6 L V12

There aren’t quite that many V12 vehicles on the market today. Aston Martin has introduced one such V12 vehicle in its new DB9 6L V12. This is a new two-seat sports car that will have about a hundred copies made during the upcoming year.
The DB9 features a V12 engine that uses one of two transmission options. It can use a six speed manual transmission or a Touchtronic paddle-shift automatic transmission. Either option will allow the user to drive at speeds of up to 190mph. The driver can even go from 0 to 60mph in a little under five seconds.

Aston Martin has added a number of features to the DB9 in order to make it more useful. The vehicle has a power steering function and power windows on the front and rear. The steering column can be adjusted to fit the driver’s needs. The brakes are also convenient in that they are not only antilock brakes but are also supported by Aston Martin’s Brake Assist system. This is used to provide an appropriate amount of power on the brakes in many situations.

Suzuki Swift 2011

Suzuki Swift  (2011)
This is the new Suzuki Swift Sport, a lovely little hot (well, warm) hatch that will be officially revealed at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show in September. And you can forget about the current crop of turbocharged and big power-chasing hot hatches – this Swift Sport uses a naturally aspirated engine good for just 134bhp…

134bhp! I know the last Suzuki Swift Sport wasn’t big on power but Minis and VXR Corsas boast over 200bhp…

Yes, but that’s not the point. The conventionally aspirated 1586cc four-cylinder has been upgraded from the old Swift Sport’s 123bhp at 6800rpm, to 134bhp delivered at 6900rpm. And 109lb ft at 4800rpm has become 118lb ft at 4400rpm. The 0-62mph time will be eight-seconds-something, so it’s err, swift rather than fast, but the six-speed manual ‘box and high-revving nature of the 1.6 will bring a smile to your face. Suzuki says the Swift Sport features a unique rear suspension design too.
Suzuki unveiled the Swift S-Concept at the 2011 Geneva motor show back in March, and while the wing and wheels on this white production car aren’t quite so big, bar those differences and the lack of side intakes, little else has changed. There are upgraded lights, new bumpers front and back (which add 40mm to the length of the Sport over and above the standard Swift), a bigger grille, plus side skirts and that aforementioned little spoiler.
The Suzuki Swift Sport will be unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show in early September and UK sales start in December. Prices have yet to be announced but expect to pay around £12k.http://amazingcar-motorcycle.blogspot.com/

Porsche Performance Upgrades for Speed Junkies

porsche 944 wallpapers

It is difficult to improve upon perfection - but it is not impossible! If you have a Porsche automobile, you probably appreciate great engineering, sleek handling, sporty curves and, of course, having the best of the best. And you probably like to see what your car can do. Speed and performance upgrades can help you get more power from your Porsche, helping boost speed without detracting from drivability or performance. Consider these performance-enhancing upgrades if the out of the box model is not quite enough.
Performance Chips. Performance chips are ideal for Porsche owners because they do not require permanent installation. Not only does it make installation costs virtually nil, it doesn't make any changes you can't undo easily and quickly. Stage 1 chips boost horsepower by optimizing air-to-fuel ratios and timing; stage 2 chips tweak O2 parameters to give bigger boost and low end torque; stage 3 combines these features.
A stage 3 chip is adjustable and allows you to change parameters set by your Porsche's ECU to deliver great acceleration, increased HP and torque, lower quarter mile times, and increased throttle response. Some chips can improve engine output by as much as 20 percent and increase higher top speeds.
Supercharger. With some supercharger systems, you can gain 15 to 30 HP. Installed on your air intake line, the supercharger is connected via switch to the inside of your car, and when you want more power, all you have to do is flip the switch. At the same time, more air is forced into your engine, which makes it denser. This increases fuel efficiency as well.
Performance Clutch. When you make performance upgrades to your Porsche, parts like the brakes and clutch often need to be replaced as well so they can handle the increased power and speed. A performance clutch offers a faster response time and longer life than a stock clutch. It won't slip when accelerating and will not overheat. There are different styles, including street racing, drifting, rally driving, and drag racing. One thing to be aware of, though, is that these are made for "high performance cars." No problem, you have a Porsche. But they are also harder to engage, so they're not ideal in city driving.
Porsches are gorgeous, but they are really made to perform. You can improve your driving excitement and boost your Porsche's power, acceleration, and speed with these and other upgrades.
